Jenni Pollack
Owner + Founder
Jenni, the founder of Light + Bark, is a creative type whose space has always been peppered with candles. She loves the ambiance that a flickering candle creates and the profound way that scent affects our mood + memory. While volunteering with rescue and shelter dogs and brainstorming non-traditional methods of fundraising as a way to better engage the community to give back, she was inspired to learn to make + sell candles. Her entrepreneurial calling was born. Jenni married her passion with her talents in candle making, branding + marketing and founded the original company DOG Candle Co in 2017, which has evolved to Light + Bark in 2020. In addition to making premium scented soy candles, Jenni is a rescue dog mom, advocate, + volunteer who is always spreading good deeds for dogs.

Expanding my business bigger than I can even imagine it right now: enough to create jobs, offer more events and collaborations, perhaps have a studio foster dog and wine bar attached as well, and give back larger and larger chunks of donations to our local rescues and shelters.

Light + Bark is AMAZING! A group of us stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Jenni, the owner, who walked us through the candle making process in precise and clear detail. They have a great selection of scents to choose from and the cutest containers too! My boyfriend even made a candle once he saw the "Phoenix Open" scent. We love lighting our candles and telling our friends that WE made them, how fun! It's an added bonus that a portion of their proceeds are donated to the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. Light+Bark is such a fun shop and experience! I own a local pet sitting business and bought candles for employees, clients, and myself a few times before I brought my team in for some bonding over personalized candle-making. We had te best time! It’s perfect for friends, families, couples, and then of course for teams. You get to smell each other’s chosen scents and pour your own wax while talking with each other and Jenni and her dog-loving team! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it will be a recurring activity for everyone!
